Countdown to October...

October 11th 2018 will be a big day for the future of the African elephant. Governments and conservation experts from around the world will be in London for the Illegal Wildlife Trade (IWT) Conference. The EPI will be presenting plans to save Africa’s elephants. We’re delighted to announce that the EPI’s Consultative Group meeting, at Lancaster House, will be co-hosted by the British Government and President Ali Bongo Ondimba of Gabon.  This meeting will bring our member governments face-to-face with major bilateral, multilateral and private donors.  The EPI has been working hard in recent months to prepare National Elephant Action Plans (NEAPs) which can be presented at the conference, and we hope donors will respond generously. We believe our plans can safeguard the future of the African elephant, protect biodiversity, and give our people more sustainable and prosperous futures.
