HUMAN - ELEPHANT CONFLICT STRATEGY: A PATH TO HARMONIOUS COEXISTENCE

The EPI Foundation announces a new strategy to address human-elephant conflict (HEC), which is fast emerging as the greatest threat to the survival of Africa’s elephants. The EPIF'S HEC Strategy identifies three interconnected priorities to mitigate and prevent human-elephant conflict; fostering high-level dialogue, enabling local solutions and amplifying African voices.

To enable harmonious coexistence of people and elephants with herds able to travel across their range. Thereby protecting a diverse range of wild animals and plants, combating climate change, and supporting local livelihoods.
